Welcome to the Ouray Ice Park's 2008-2009 season. Many changes and improvements have been made to the park this year. Check out our membership page for details on those improvements.

As for the opening date of the park this year, there has been little to report due to warm temperatures. The water was turned on yesterday and we are just waiting for some cold weather so the ice can begin forming. We will keep this site updated as to the conditions, but we expect to open on Saturday, December 14, 2008.

Fund raising to date has been primarily by donations and membership fees. Please consider becoming a member and supporting the sponsors that support the Ice Park. The primary fund raiser is the Ouray Ice Festival which has become a major climber's rendezvous each January. Ouray locals put the event together that features exhibition climbing, free clinics, seminars, slide shows, and gear demos.
