Current ICE Conditions Reports

Current Weather
Planning Your Climb? While this provides a general overview, mountain weather can change rapidly. For the most accurate and detailed forecasts specific to the San Juan Mountains, please consult dedicated weather services like the National Weather Service (weather.gov) or mountain-specific forecast providers before heading out. There are also really great apps out there like Windy.
Ouray Ice Park Guide
Due to the Gorge’s easy access, the best way to navigate the Park is to send one climber down to look at the ice and one up top to set the rope. We highly recommend using radios. Rocky Talkie is our favorite brand. Here is a map of the Ouray Ice Park. If you have any questions find us at Dick’s Chalet!
